Riding the Rollercoaster: Life with ADHD, Migraines & Uni Chaos

We will cover it all – don’t stress! This post is just a little intro to what my whole blog is about: the absolute rollercoaster that is life with a scatterbrain. Right now, I’m working full-time and off from uni for the summer—but trust me, I’ve got stories. Lots of ups, even more down… and just as many get-back-ups.

Right Now,

I’m slowly figuring out the strategies that actually help me live with my ADHD, work around my migraines, and (most challenging of all) eat in a way that makes me feel good. It’s definitely a work in progress, but I’m learning what works—and what definitely doesn’t.

At this point, I’m working a fairly regular schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with the occasional overtime thrown in. And honestly? I thrive on that kind of routine. It gives me set times to take my meds, eat every meal, and plan the things I love around a structure that keeps me sane.

Furthermore,

Once I go back to university full-time in September, it’ll be a completely different story. The irregular class schedule throws me off big time—it takes a lot of mental energy to keep myself on track. When I’m in school, I really have to put in the work to plan out my week and check in at the end of each day to see what didn’t get done (which, let’s be honest, happens a lot).

At the moment, I’m working on designing a planner that’s scatterbrain-friendly—something that actually works with the ADHD brain, not against it. I can never seem to find one that has everything I need, so I end up scribbling on random sticky notes that eventually fall behind my desk (RIP all deadlines). Hopefully, I’ll be able to share it with you soon!

Otherwise, this page is all about sharing my ride on the dreaded rollercoaster. I’ll be posting my stories, experiences, and all the tips and tricks I’ve picked up to help make the ride a little less overwhelming—and maybe even a bit more manageable.

Stick around—there’s so much more I can’t wait to share!
