My Brain Hates Planners (So I Made My Own)

I’ve never met a planner that actually worked for my ADHD brain. Trust me, I’ve tried them all — the minimalist ones, the color-coded ones, the aesthetic Pinterest ones with stickers and highlighters and tiny motivational quotes. But no matter how cute or expensive they are, I always end up closing them after a week (or two days, let’s be honest) and never looking back.

Here’s the thing: most planners aren’t made for brains like mine.

I get overwhelmed flipping through endless pages, jumping from monthly overviews to daily spreads that are nowhere near each other. I wish I could just move a section here or change a layout there. And don’t even get me started on what happens when I miss a few days — suddenly the whole planner feels ruined. I can’t just pick up where I left off without feeling like I failed some invisible rule.

So… I made my own.

Introducing…

My 4-month undated planner, designed to work with my brain, not against it.

It’s got:

  • ✨ A monthly overview
  • 🔁 5 weekly check-ins per month
  • 🕒 Daily time-blocking pages tucked into each week
  • All pages are undated and minimal — no frills, no pressure, and absolutely no stickers required (unless you want them, of course).

Why undated? Because ADHD doesn’t care if it’s Monday. If I miss a day or a week, I can just pick back up without the guilt trip.

Why this layout? Because I need structure, but not so much that I freeze. During my current 7am–3:30pm work schedule, I thrive. My brain eats that structure up like candy. But during university? Chaos. My schedule is all over the place, and trying to plan out study sessions or classes without some sort of consistent visual system? That’s where the paralysis hits.

For “Normal People”,

planning a week might be a simple Sunday night task. For me? It feels like decoding the entire Da Vinci Code. That’s why I needed a planner that’s convenient, flexible, and zero-pressure. Something I don’t have to fight with every time I sit down to plan.If your brain works like mine, I made this planner for you. Because we don’t need another system that overwhelms us — we need tools that understands us.

Quick heads up — I did make this planner, and yes, I do make money if you choose to buy it. But that’s not why I’m posting this. This isn’t a sales pitch — it’s just me sharing something I genuinely created out of necessity, in the hope that it might help someone else too. If this doesn’t feel like the right tool for you, no pressure at all! ADHD looks different for everyone, and what works for me might not be your thing — and that’s totally okay ♡
